My mom celebrated her last session of chemotherapy on Thursday. We had a party at the clinic with cake, a sparkling apple cider toast and lots of ballons and flowers. She also received a card signed by her doctor and the nurses at the clinic. They also gave her a breast cancer survival pin. She had a wonderful team of caretakers.
Every other week my sister Kari and I would meet her at the clinic for chemo. We would spend all morning working on crafts, watching movies, chatting and joking around with the nurses. Other family members would stop in to say hi. Even though it was not something we ever wished would happen, it turned out to be a good experience in its own way. My mom's attitude throughout this whole ordeal has been a true inspiration to me.

You have a beautiful family. Your Mom and Dad are especially precious. God bless them both. I am thrilled to see her chemo is all over. Good for her!
